Rolling Stone Magazine App yorumlar

Why doesn’t the Search feature load??

Just spins and spins. Dumb.

Keeps sending popups to allow notifications!

I turned OFF notifications because I dont want them, it wasn't an error. Now, every time I open the app, there is an annoying popup wanting me to turn on notifications, and even a link to take me to the settings! I’m almost to the point where I just cancel the subscription and delete the app.

Not able to sign in and stay signed in

I’ve done everything I know to sign in and stay signed in. If you’re lucky enough to find a sign in link, when reading a story, beware about leaving the app because the minute you leave the app they sign you out. And then you can’t sign back in.

App doesn’t work

The app just doesn’t work

App does not work

The app just stays on a red screen and never "opens." Deleted and reinstalled multiple times. It's basically a scam - subscribe to a red screen!

Fraudulent App

App does not work and Apple will charge you for subscription and then not refund your money when you find out the app does not work. Rolling Stone and Apple are scamming customers with this app.

Wasted Money: App Does Not Work at all with Current iOS release on iPad

Rolling Stone Magazine app has not been updated in a year per App Store and does not work with current iOS release on iPad. When opening the app it shows a completely red screen with “Rolling Stone” printed in middle of screen and is otherwise completely frozen. Called Apple Tech Support after deleting and reloading app. They refunded my remaining app subscription and advised I purchase a new subscription to resolve the problem. Purchased a new subscription and same problem. If there is still a software development team working on this app out there somewhere can you please update it to work with current Apple iOS and iPad and notify subscribers when it is safe to purchase a subscription.

Utter crap

I paid for the mag, downloaded the app and, 10 minutes later, was still staring at a red, cover screen. Apparently Jann Wenner wrote the program for this app, turning it into crap like everything else he touches.

Broken app

The app hasn’t worked for a couple months. Apple referred me to Rolling Stone customer service, which keeps telling me they’re escalating my complaint to the IT department and they’ll get back to me. Then — nothing. Disappointing. I’m a longtime Rolling Stone subscriber, and they’re better than this. Meanwhile, I had to install a pop-up blocker so I can read the web version of the magazine without the constant, annoying pop-up ads.

So disappointed

Absolutely worthless app. Delete reload. Nothing works. Just as well. Been reading RS since the early 70’s. Hardly a shadow of its former self. Gone so far downhill. Shameful.

Really? This hasn’t been fixed yet?

Have been RS digital subscriber for years but cannot access the content as it only loads a red screen. It has been this way for weeks and I cannot believe there has not been a fix or an explanation!

App is not working

The app stays frozen on the red opening screen and stays that way. It’s been like this for months.

Horrible

I pay for a digital subscription and this so called app only shows a red screen & logo. Nothing else!!

Dead App

Nice red screen. #1 Fix the App #2 Fix the App #3 Allow landscape rotation on iPad

Red Screen of Death

App hangs at Red Screen and will not load - 2 months and counting with no apparent resolution.

App fails to load

App launches but hangs on startup. Gives no indication of progress or any activity. Too bad because it used to be a good one.

Not working

Just a red screen. For 2 weeks. “Customer support” does not exist. Suggests “Apple support”, who could care less. Could read RS on the web if it wasn’t 90% auto play video ads even for paying subscribers.

Won’t load

Open app to nothing but a frozen red screen. Is this the red screen of death? Going on for weeks, what’s up?

App won’t open, no way to contact

I’m reviewing because they won’t respond on messenger and there is no other way I can find to report that the app stopped opening on my phone last week. I love this publication and used the app multiple times daily.

Keeps getting worse

This app gets continually worse. The ‘saved’ stories disappear after 24 hours, and now I only see the red load screen when I open the app. It’s been more than a week, and “tech support” only sends out automated messages with no help. I love the RS content, and it’s a shame that they can’t do their writers justice by letting people who pay for a subscription read any of it.

App issues

I love the RS app when it works. Right now I’m deleting it & adding it again. Red screen is all I get.

Worked great 2 days ago

Don’t know what you did but it no longer loads. Please fix whatever you did

Dud.

App opens with a red screen and stays that way. No response. Download again.. ditto. Over and over, same result… nothing. GARBAGE

Can’t login

Unable to login and magazine has been steadily getting too “woke” for us. What happened to articles about music, artists and art? Why do we need to know your stance on politics?! What used to be a great read about our favorite artists and their works, has now turned into agenda pushing. No thanks. This crap app just puts the cherry on top for canceling my subscription. I won’t be back.

Can't get search to work

I am a brand new subscriber and find the new content interesting, but I can't get the search feature to work.

No Landscape Version

My iPad sits on a stand with a keyboard. There is not setting for landscape. So I have to tip my iPad sideways and awkwardly try and “enjoy” articles. It can’t be hard to offer this? What gives. It is a horrible iPad experience.

No landscape mode?

Missing this key element, especially useful on iPad

Cheugy

Cheugy

Disappointing. No way to search archives.

I got a Rolling Stone subscription to read older articles. I got the app to avoid some of the janky issues with the website. But there’s no easy way to find older articles with this app. It’s fine if you want to read the current content or you enjoy browsing year by year, but terrible for accessing some of the best historical music journalism of the last 60 years.

Searching?

It would be cool if you could search for articles.

Cancel Culture

Wants to take u down? I am coming back. Even better that that puts Wenner is gone!!!

Why even have an app?

Though I am a paying subscriber I have no way of logging in. This app is beyond pointless, it is maddening!

No Way To Login - Useless

I am a print & digital subscriber and am unable to access content or read articles. The digital subscription and this app are useless. Obviously there’s a huge disconnect between account subscriber management and the developers of this (cr)app. Don’t waste your time subscribing or downloading this.

Magazine Buried, Unusable

The app took a giant step backwards. The focus is now “online content,” and the magazine itself it buried on the last tab with no way to navigate through its table of contents — the only option now is an awkward scroll through every page. Worse, there is no way to save where you left off in an article, even if you just leave the app for a minute. Without the ability to get cozy with deep reads of the magazine, the app is just basically a website of tabs and links, but less elegantly usable than an actual website.

Very good but could be glitchy

I love Rolling Stone magazine!! The only problem is this app could a glitchy sometimes.

Doesn’t work

Subscriber and can’t get app to work or refresh subscriptions. Unable To contact anyone at support for help either.

“Allow Push Notifications” won’t go away

“Allow Push Notifications” - I tap “Maybe Later” “Allow Push Notifications” - I tap “Maybe Later” “Allow Push Notifications” - I tap “Maybe Later” “Allow Push Notifications” - I tap “Maybe Later” “Allow Push Notifications” - I tap “Maybe Later” “Allow Push Notifications” - I tap “Maybe Later” “Allow Push Notifications” - I tap “Maybe Later” “Allow Push Notifications” - I tap “Maybe Later” “Allow Push Notifications” - I tap “Maybe Later” “Allow Push Notifications” - I tap “Maybe Later”

No method of logging in

A gave 2 stars because the previous version was so bare bones. Seems like some thought was put into new layout. However, there is no way to USE the new version because you cannot log in/link account. Furthermore, if you contact them, no one knows who owns the new app, and you get the runaround. After four times I finally got a hold of someone who seemed to know about the issue. They took my email and said they’d get back to me in a couple business days. That was more than 2 weeks ago.

Archived and Downloaded Magazines lost in New App

Opened the new app and I’m bombarded by every digital posting. Where are my archived and downloaded magazines now?

Rolling Stone Con

I’ve been a Rolling Stone subscriber for years, with both print and digital access. With this latest app update I lost all digital access. According to Rolling Stone customers service I have to pay for the digital content of this app even though I already pay for digital access through my print subscription. Rolling Stone is truly a reflection of today’s culture. One big con job.

A giant leap backwards for the magazine

A few years ago you updated the magazine interface from what was basically pdfs of each page to a very usable interface. Articles again scrolled and the text was such that they could be easily read. You are back to what is basically a pdf of text so small it is unreadable. Requires you to expand portions of the page and then watch it float around while you try to read it. What happened???

No way to log in?

It seems that there is no way for print or digital subscribers to log in as there was with the previous version.

Solid redesign

Quietly redesigned and relaunched, a massive improvement over previous versions. Mimics the RS.com web experience seamlessly.

Update makes this so much better

The app is snappy and the content is great. I love it this update

Worked great for me - try the updated version.

Navigation is smooth and intuitive. I was quickly reading about and watching video clips from some of my favorite artists. Wish it was free but it’s time to accept good journalism is worth paying for!

Great photos in the gallery!

Thank you for putting up this cool content that might otherwise get lost.

So much better!

The new design of this app is so much better than the old version!! This is what I would expect from Rolling Stone.

Awesome app!!

I love this new version!! It is so simple to use, and it’s great to be able to read the articles with ease! Also Lists are amazing!

Can’t login

There isn’t a password field in the sign in dialog so no way to login !
