Good luck accessing your previous purchases. And apparently you can now purchase issues even though you have no ability to log in and actually read the issues.
It will not allow me to restore my purchases. Is that asking for too much?!?
Yuk
The latest update does not allow me to view issues even though I have a subscription through the App Store. Super annoying. Update: a month later and Im still dealing with trying to download issues. Cannot download the Feb Bowie issue. Still super annoying. It also takes weeks to get a canned email response from the rs team with no solution.
Ive never had a problem downloading a issues from this magazine? Whats up? Already on to the next issue and I still cant download this issue.
All you have to do is read the rest of the reviews. All negative reviews are spot on. Any good reviews have to be coming from Rolling Stone employees. Or they have some other sort of vested interest in the magazine somehow. I canceled my subscription.
I cant download the Feb David Bowie issue still! wenner and iTunes writes back with no solution just finger pointing that its the other guys problems. Im ok with the old style magazine but at least allow me to download the Feb issue. Everything before and after it downloads fine.
This is absolutely ridiculous. Ever since that infamous upgrade for functionality and flexibility everything crashed. It isnt just that that it took forever to restore purchases. Now you have made downloading new issues impossible! Hello, is there anybody out here ? ( now thats a heck of a remix idea!)
I emailed Customer Service wanting to convert my magazine subscription to digital. Rather than help me do this, Jennifer responded by telling me to contact the person who gave me the gift subscription, have them cancel the subscription, and then have them replace the order for digital only. Yeah, right. Thanks for nothing.
I agree with one review who said you dont care about your loyal customers. Shame on you and I hope you can understand what respect for your customers is... Fernando
Not only is the new version full of bugs, but the new reading format makes me feel that RS has either gotten lazy or just stopped caring about the reader experience. Its now just a non-interactive PDF with hard-to-read font size. This is very disappointing for a publication at the level of RS. The old version had a beautiful format and the interactive features, such as being able to listen to song clips, were great. Stop trying to fix something that wasnt broken!
I used to love the digital version but since they changed the digital layout its almost impossible to read an article. Im so disappointed and from the reviews it looks like Im not the only one.
As much as I love your magazine, but sorry I couldnt just let this get past. Should you ever consider about letting the print subscribers having a digital access without any additional cost? Im not sure how much more it would cost you but Ive seen other "major" music magazine able to provide such convenience to its loyal readers. So disappointed.
Such a horrible step back, it caused me to write my very first review. To try and sell it as an upgrade is just an insult. I think they didnt want to spend the money making an iOS version anymore :( The writing is still good.
After being a subscriber to the online subscription to read on my iPad and being charged $20 on my credit card late last year, they have no record of my subscription.
Ive subscribed to the digital issue of RS for a couple years. I updated my OS to 9.2.1, now I can see the issues in my "Library" but opening one just results in a white blank screen. RS technical does not respond to my written questions/complaint.
Im not a subscriber, but I did purchase an issue back in Dec of last year. Everything was fine until the most recent update: I not only lost that issue, but "restore iTunes purchases" might as well not be an available option. This hasnt worked yet. Lame app; lame update. What a way to taint your reputation, Rolling Stone!
Download, as in down the tubes. If this isnt brought up to par Im canceling my paper subscription.
I dont think anyone has the patience required to wait for each page to load. It only gets worse when you realize you just wasted 20 minutes of your life to wait for a 2-page ad to load. Get your act together, Rolling Stone. I know a couple of 13-year old app developers who would give you a better product than your current set-up.
